Travel Nurse Across America is proud to offer paid sick leave to all of our travelers. Though you may only work for a facility on a temporary basis, you’re a permanent part of our team and we always have your needs in mind. We want to make sure you have the tools you need to take excellent care of your patients, as well as take care of yourself.
Sick leave begins accruing from your first day, and you’re eligible to use it after 90 days of employment with us. We know it’s hard to take time off when you’re a travel nurse, but we want to make it easy when you have an urgent health need.
You can use your sick leave for a variety of personal health reasons, like illnesses or medical appointments, or for the needs of immediate family members. Take time off to care for yourself or for your loved ones!
If you return to TNAA for additional assignments within a one-year period, you can take advantage of our sick leave carryover policy. It’s time that you’ve earned, and we want you to keep it.
Questions about accruing and using sick leave?
Sick leave cannot be paid in advance of accrual. Travelers who are re-employed after one year of separation forfeit any unused sick leave and repeat the 90-day eligibility period. Unused time under this policy is not payable as a cash benefit at year end or at time of separation.
